Who We Are
While there are many good restaurants in Ocean City, there is only one genuine French cafe as our friends and customers will tell you! France Hyman, originator and owner of Ma France Creperie, has lived in the U.S.A. for the past several years. Born in Paris, France lived and worked in Israel and France as a professional makeup artist for film, fashion and Television, working with noted actors such as Ben Kingsley, Aiden Quinn, and Ellyn Burstin as well as with top international models. In 1998 she came to the area with her husband Jerry and their two children Karine and Nathan to live in Margate, New Jersey, Jerry's hometown. While she is still sometimes called on to do the makeup for TV commercials shot at the shore, her desire to create a unique addition to the culinary scene in South Jersey prompted a trip to Brittany on the west coast of France to learn authentic crepe making. France opened Ma France Creperie in 2001, at first in Ventnor and now in Ocean City where she is pleased to welcome you with a friendly smile and warm hospitality.
